Santa Croce and the fishermen’s tradition
Santa Croce/ Križ is the fishing village located 300m above sea level along the coast. Fishing is an ancient tradition here, and until the 1950s tuna fishing, which has now disappeared from the Gulf of Trieste, was particularly important.
